UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for the candidates to fill the vacant posts through direct recruitment under departmental Advt. letter No. 01/2025 dated 04.09.2024. According to the information given in the notification, online applications have been invited from eligible candidates to fill 85 vacant posts of Post Combined Geo-Scientist Class Group A,B through direct recruitment. UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 Educational Eligibility:-
UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 : Aspirants are required to hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline. (Geological Science, M.Sc. in Physics , M.Sc. (Geophysics) or M. Sc. in Chemistry.)
UPSC Geo-Scientist Age Limit as On 01.01.2025 :–
UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 : The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 32 years as on 01-01-2025, but reserved category and other eligible candidates declared by the government will be eligible for age relaxation as per the rules of the government.
The government will provide relaxation in upper age limit to reserved category candidates. Mentioned in the table below:

PLAN OF EXAMINATION –
UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 : The Combined Geo-Scientist Examination will consist of three successive stages –
Stage-I : Preliminary Examination (Objective type) – 400 Marks
Stage-II : Mains Examination (Descriptive Type) – 600 Marks
Stage-III: Personality Test/Interview – 200 Marks
